Soup Maker

Hello
The weather is damp and drizzly with a chill in the air, just the right time for a nice hot bowl of homemade soup. I have bought a new toy this week a soup maker,  what can I say it is brilliant, makes soup in 21 minutes, how good is that , quick, simple and healthy, no steamed up kitchen, no watching a pan for ages and less washing up.

To make a nice 1.6lt quantity just roughly chop your veggies put in stock, put on the lid press the button and Hey Presto, lay the table find husband and son in the meadow talk to chickens in the orchard throw them a juicy pear or apple. Bath the dog that rolled in something on the way to the meadow. Soups ready, 21 minutes, then all sit down and enjoy playing the guessing game by asking what's in the soup. I know it not big batch cooking but when you spent time growing your own precious lovely vegstables you don't waste anything the odd split tomato and reject veg can be salvaged, by just leaving it in the maker and adding a few more veg while simply making a coffee.
Please if you have any of your tasty recipes, drop by and let me know and we can share a bowl of soup together.

    1. Hi Faye
Thanks for your reply. I am sure you would love the soup maker mine is a Russel Hobbs. I have taken a picture and updated it on this post. Hope this helps. But basically it looks like a kettle with a blender enclosed. Have a good week. x

  2. I have a soup maker too Sarah and I wouldn't be without it. I used to hate blitzing all the hot soup in the saucepan because it splashed everywhere - all over me and the walls and the hob. I could have used the larger food processor but that wouldn't hold it all so I'd have to pour it into a jug after processing half and then do the other half. Phew - too much messing about and washing up! I'll look out some recipes for you.

    1. Hi Patricia
Thanks for your reply. I thought very carefully about getting the soup maker thinking it might be just another gadget. But is saves me so much time knowing I don't have to watch a pan. I just prepare a few extra veg when I'm making the dinner and its done. Glad you are getting on well with yours. Any recipes would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Have a good week. x

  7. I do like soup and I admit to being rather rubbish in the kitchen, so this really appeals to me. I had no idea such a thing existed! Thanks for dropping by, looking forward to pumpkin growing again already. Karen x
